Meet the Founder & President
My passion is motivating and encouraging students and modifying their behaviors. The best part of my day is when a student (s) learn the concept I’m teaching.
I grew up in the inner city of Compton, California. I describe myself as an inner-city kid. I was raised by my Mother, two older sisters and myself. My mother always said “Education is the Way”. She worked two jobs to get our family out of Compton and into a good neighborhood and school system. I appreciate my family and the value system I learned.
I attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I received a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Hotel Administration. I received a Master’s in Special Education in 2001. I became interested in Special Education because of AmeriCorps. Working with Special Education children gave me a deep sense of satisfaction. I taught Special Education for 18 years. I spent one year as a Special Education Administrator. I also established and operated a non-profit after school program called Saundra’s Haven. The organization is focused on tutoring, education, and behavior services for after school programming.
